We decided to book the 5* hotel Les Jardins de L’Agdal for a 2 night stay in Marrakech, which was the turn point in our 7 day tour to discover Morocco and also my birthday weekend. The hotel is situated on the main Avenue Mohammed VI, we had booked a standard double room and was allocated a double room with pool view on the second floor (2248). I really liked the Moroccan theme of the hotel, there were lots of…
Gran Canaria has the largest population of all The Canary Islands. The island is broadly round, with a diameter of about 50KM. The island is quite mountainous, reaching up to almost 2,000 Metres. Its a little like a “Mini Continent” with dramatically different micro climates, ranging from cool and damp inland in the winter, to hot and almost desert-like in the south in the summer. Gran Canaria Airport Gran Canaria airport (Airport code LPA) is on the coast at Las…

Our idea of a Christmas in Berlin was in jeopardy on Friday 15th December when we realised that the airline Nikki had ceased trading. We scoured all the various options of how we could connect with Berlin from Lanzarote for our original dates, including connections in UK and the Spanish mainland. Eventually it came down to either bringing our departure forward or cancelling our entire holiday. We rebooked departing from Fuerteventura with Ryanair, taking a gamble that their pilot strikes…
MV Columbus is CMV’s flagship, and here’s the low down on all that the ship has to offer guests travelling aboard here, based on our cruise.
You can read the full story of our trip here, but these are my own observations and highlights from it. I really didn’t know what to expect of this trip. We’re not experienced cruisers, and anyway, Hurtigruten were at pains to point out their ships are not cruise ships! MS Finnmarken is about the size of the largest car ferries you see around the world. Indeed, she carries cars, and plenty of cargo as well. But the passenger decks are…
South Africa draws many visitors for a variety of reasons, beach dwellers head for Cape Town in December & January, safari seekers head for the parks during the dry season from May to September, the Cape Winelands harvest attracts wine aficionados from January to March, walkers like to visit during Spring and the Garden Route is spectacular all year round. This is a diverse country, the coastline has two oceans and stretches 2798 km from the desert border with Namibia…

I love travelling the world, especially when I get do so with a touch of luxury. For me travel is about buying “moments’ rather than “Things.” I’m an Ironman triathlete, scuba diver and I love techy stuff and cars. Sadly for my waistline, I love cooking and enjoying great food! I’ve developed a taste for cruising and excited where the future is taking us.

The kids have grown up and it’s time to have some fun with my hubby interspersing work with travel. I love discovering new places on road trips and cruises. I like to get immersed in local culture, experience gastronomy, discover wildlife and take photographs along the way. I enjoy booking our clients holidays, as much as I do planning our own.
