For the best panoramic view over Barcelona head for the Turó de la Rovira, a viewpoint enjoyed by locals at the weekend, but not on the tourist map. There are four Cheesecake Factory restaurants in Las Vegas, we popped in to the one at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets for a coffee break whilst shopping and ended up having lunch instead, as the dishes looked fantastic. If you don’t know the Cheesecake Factory brand, their menu has a whopping 250 dishes, which are made fresh daily. It’s definitely worth heading downtown to experience Fremont Street during a visit to Las Vegas, and one best enjoyed after dusk when the ceiling is illuminated with 12.5 million lights and 550000 watts of sound. Our idea of a Christmas in Berlin was in jeopardy on Friday 15th December when we realised that the airline Nikki had ceased trading. We scoured all the various options of how we could connect with Berlin from Lanzarote for our original dates, including connections in UK and the Spanish mainland.
