Where is it?

The Brazilian Grand Prix, officially known as the São Paulo Grand Prix, takes place at Interlagos in São Paulo, Brazil. The circuit’s official name is Autódromo José Carlos Pace, although most fans simply call it Interlagos.

It’s one of Formula 1’s classic venues, having first hosted a world championship race in 1973.

What’s the circuit like?

Interlagos packs plenty into its 4.309 kilometres. The lap includes the famous Senna S, a twisting infield section and an uphill run back towards the start and finish line.

The changes in elevation and banked corners give it plenty of character, while the bowl-shaped layout helps spectators see more than just the stretch of track immediately in front of them.

What sort of race can we expect?

There’s an extra reason to go in 2027 – the Sprint is returning! That means a short race on Saturday as well as Sunday’s Grand Prix, giving you two races to enjoy during your trip.

With the weekend taking place towards the end of the season, there could also be plenty riding on the result. Whether the championship is still up for grabs or the drivers are fighting for individual honours, there should be no shortage of motivation.

Why go to this one?

The atmosphere! Brazilian fans bring tremendous passion to Formula 1, and Interlagos is a wonderful place to experience that enthusiasm first-hand. Combine the crowd with a classic circuit and you’ve got the ingredients for a memorable weekend.

For UK fans, we’d suggest making a proper holiday of it. Allow time to enjoy São Paulo around the racing, or ask us about extending your trip to see more of Brazil. Tell us how long you have and what you enjoy, and we can help put an itinerary together.

Where’s the best place to watch?

Grandstand A is worth considering for its broader views across the circuit and the cars climbing towards the main straight.

If you’d prefer to concentrate on the opening corners, Grandstand M overlooks the approach to the first corner and the Senna S, making it a good option for watching the action there.

Your choice will depend on your budget and the tickets available. We can talk through the options when putting your package together.

When is it in 2027?

The race weekend runs from 5th to 7th November 2027, with the Grand Prix on Sunday 7th November.

The Sprint is scheduled for Saturday 6th November. Session times are still to be confirmed.
