From 2 December 2024 you will be asked to provide a few more personal details on check in at your accommodation or by your car hire rental company than before.
The Ses. Hospedajes requirement from the Ministry of the Interior relates to the Royal Decree 933/2021 dated 26 October. Previously a copy of your passport would have been registered on arrival at your accommodation, and your driving licence if renting a vehicle.
This is the personal information required, most of which would already have been provided by your passport, driving license or reservation / check in process. The key difference is that they have to report more of this information to the Spanish government.
