I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and Mike for all of your help planning our perfect honeymoon!! The Airport lounge was such a great way to start the honeymoon. Dan has decided that’s how we are now going to start every holiday from now on. Thanks to Mike for checking every possible date again, he was so patient with me. Its was amazing to fly the day after the wedding as we were on such a high.

South Africa was unreal….and they upgraded us to the best room in the hotel. Stunning. We saw so many animals including a few rare sights such as 4 males lions walking next to our truck.

Jenni Hill

Honeymoon

We’ve had a lovely time. The villa was ideal for us a couple.

I’m glad you’ve said you can do travel worldwide because that was a question I was going to ask you. As much as we love Lanzarote we feel like a change.

Thanks again julie to both you and Mike I feel like I now you know and trust you to get Graham and myself the best holiday.

Mike Cliffe-Jones

Director

I love travelling, especially when I get do so with a touch of luxury. For me travel is about buying “moments’ rather than “Things.” I’m an Ironman triathlete, scuba diver and I love techy stuff and cars. Sadly for my waistline, I love cooking and enjoying great food! My favourite places so far are Cape Town and Las Vegas, but I plan to explore the far east much more.

Julie Cliffe-Jones

Director

I’m in my forties, the kids have grown up and it’s time to have some fun with my hubby interspersing work with travel. I love discovering new places, I like to stay in luxury hotels, understand the local culture, experience the gastronomy and take photographs as I travel. I’m also a triathlete and Ironman, so when I do have some spare time I’ll probably be swimming, cycling or running.

Charlie Joyce

Travel Agent

After growing up with a real passion for food I trained as a Chef and whilst I have now joined the family travel business, I still love cooking for my family and friends.  I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines which fits perfectly with another hobby of mine of taking great photographs.  I have been DJ’ing for many years and I still enjoy mixing electronic dance music.  I have been visiting the Canary Islands for almost 10 years and I plan to move to one of the islands with my Wife and Daughter.

Natalie Joyce

Travel Agent

After years in HR Management I have joined the family travel business. As a travel fan and parent of a 12 year old Daughter I like to switch our holidays up between sight seeing City breaks and chilled out holidays in the sun. I consider myself to be a real foodie, we are always experimenting in the kitchen at home and we eat out as often as possible. I am also huge music fan and I love everything from 80’s pop, to Hip Hop to current pop and Drum & Bass. I have been visiting the Canary Islands for nearly 20 years and the next step is to move to one of the islands.

Santa Cruz, Tenerife

We loved strolling the streets around the capital of Santa Cruz, although only another Canary Island, we could have been somewhere on the mainland of Spain, it was great to be in a big city again. We managed to stumble upon a great cafe with a €7.50 menú del día when we were waiting to check into our hotel, La Esquina del Parque is just a stroll through the park from the Grand Hotel Mencey. Our first evening was spent…

Wine Tasting In Tenerife

Having asked for wine recommendations before setting off to Tenerife, we were pleased to find 4 of them to taste during our stay. The first was a bottle of Tajinaste Blanco Afrutado from Bodegas Tajinaste at La Concepción in Santa Cruz. Bodegas Tajinaste vines are situated in the Valle de La Orotava in Tenerife and made from 100% Listán Blanco. Denominación de Origen Valle de La Orotava Appearance: Clean and bright, yellow in colour with a green tinge Aromas: Tropical…

Bodeguita Algarrobo, Puerto del la Cruz

This was recommend to us by our friends Jack and Andy, who we met there for lunch. The location was perfect as we were staying in Hotel Botanico, right across the road. It’s a small restaurant, but offers both indoor and outdoor tables. The decor is modern, clean and light – the place feels a cut above the usual tapas bar. . They have a big range of daily specials, and as a group we opted to go for a…

La Esquina del Parque, Santa Cruz

We might like staying in nice hotels but we do love eating like a local, and you can’t get better value than a menú del día when visiting Spain. As we were too early to check into the Grand Hotel Mencey in Santa Cruz we stepped out of the hotel to find somewhere conveniently close for lunch. The obvious choice was the Cocina Urbana, directly opposite the hotel, however we wandered through the beautiful Parque García Sanabria and couldn’t help…

La Villa de Aguimes, Gran Canaria

Agüimes is a beautiful traditional example of a municipal town in the Canary Islands, and only a short drive from Gran Canaria’s airport. The parish church of San Sebastian is an obvious landmark to aim for when approaching the town of Agüimes, the historic centre was clearly signposted and we found a parking space easily. The Parroquial de San Sebastían was built in three phases, the first of which started in 1796 and the third ended in 1940. Gothic, Neo-Classical…

Guayadeque, Gran Canaria

I was absolutely fascinated by the valley of Guayadeque. Guayadeque is a ravine or barranco as they’re called in Spanish, situated between the towns of Agüimes and Ingenio. What’s special about this particular place is the variety of cave dwellings along the route, which have been transformed into houses and restaurants. Sadly on this occasion, we didn’t spend any time out of the car, as it was only the second point of interest along our rural tour of Gran Canaria.…

Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria

It was our first time to the holiday resort of Playa del Inglés in the south of Gran Canaria. We didn’t know what to expect and after only a short stay we can quite honestly say, it’s not for us. That’s not that we wouldn’t stay there again, in fact we’re already planning a second stay at the Bohemia Suites & Spa Hotel. Playa del Inglés beach is fabulous and it’s easy to see why thousands of Brits flock to this…

Tejeda, Gran Canaria

We couldn’t have found a more beautiful spot for lunch if we had planned it, Tejeda is stunning. We seemed to have spent an eternity climbing up the twisting road to reach the highest point of Gran Canaria, known as the Pico de las Nieves at 1949 metres. There’s no denying it was a marvellous view and a beautifully clear day too, we could see for miles, Mount Teide was visible on the neighbouring island of Tenerife. Our tummies rumbling,…
