We reviewed British Airways World Traveller Plus service, which is their premium economy offering on long haul flights. Was it worth the extra money?

We booked into the Hard Rock Hotel because it seemed to offer the best value for a 4 star hotel and casino for our trip to Las Vegas. It turned out to be a cracking decision. The hotel is situated a little way off The Strip, but an easy 10 minute walk takes you to one end of it, and you can access the monorail from there. The hotel also offers an hourly courtesy bus service, which drops you right…
You can’t visit Las Vegas without taking in a show, and there’s a staggering choice available. We were torn between one of the Cirque de Soleil shows or Le Rêve which was voted “Best Production Show” in Las Vegas for 6 consecutive years. As we were open to what to see, we waited until the day and bought tickets through Tix4tonight, saving 22% off the standard ticket price. The 360 degree Wynn theatre is very plush and comfortable, we were…
We decided to hire a Mustang and drive to Los Angeles during our week in Las Vegas. It’s about 4.5 hours if you stick to the speed limit on the California Interstate 15. To be honest it’s quite a long boring road, albeit with some stunning scenery along the way. We stopped at Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner for lunch, which is a traditional American diner situated in Yermo which was a perfect way to break the journey up. I adored…
We combined a visit to the Hoover Dam with the Skywalk on the West rim of the Grand Canyon for a self drive day out from Las Vegas. Hoover Dam is 32 miles from Las Vegas, which is around 45 minutes drive. The distance to continue on to the Skywalk was a further 96 miles, just under 2 hours. It’s important to note that during the winter months, the state of Arizona is an hour different to Nevada and the…
We visited The Hoover Dam as part of our trip to Las Vegas. We hired a car and drove to the dam, which is about a 40 minute drive. The dam spans the states of Nevada and Arizona, and crosses two time zones, which confused us as we headed afterwards into Arizona! It was built in the 1930’s during the great depression and had three key objectives: 1/ To provide water for irrigation to the states down river. 2/ To…
There’s stiff competition for the title of the Best Buffet in Las Vegas. We really found it difficult to decide between our top three shortlist including the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars, The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas and the Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan. It was Sunday and finally we decided to go for the Weekend Brunch priced at $35 per person at the Wicked Spoon. Expecting up to a 30 minute wait, we found that there was only a…
It’s very easy to splash out and enjoy all the attractions that Las Vegas has to offer. Here’s our suggestions if you’re looking for something different to do that won’t cost a dime. Visit the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” sign. The sign is on the South end of Las Vegas Boulevard by the Bali Hai Golf Club, which is a couple of blocks walk from the Mandalay Bay. The sign was created by Betty Willis and installed…

I love travelling the world, especially when I get do so with a touch of luxury. For me travel is about buying “moments’ rather than “Things.” I’m an Ironman triathlete, scuba diver and I love techy stuff and cars. Sadly for my waistline, I love cooking and enjoying great food! I’ve developed a taste for cruising and excited where the future is taking us.

The kids have grown up and it’s time to have some fun with my hubby interspersing work with travel. I love discovering new places on road trips and cruises. I like to get immersed in local culture, experience gastronomy, discover wildlife and take photographs along the way. I enjoy booking our clients holidays, as much as I do planning our own.
