The Plus Fariones Suite Hotel is a 4* beachfront hotel situated in the centre of Puerto del Carmen, with direct access to Playa Grande. Its location is a big attraction, with the beach on one side and the resort’s shops, bars and restaurants close at hand.

This hotel suits both couples and families, with spacious suites and a children’s pool. For adults looking for some extra comforts, the Select accommodation includes access to exclusive areas within the hotel. It’s worth noting that there are a limited number of interconnecting suites for larger sized families (sleeping up to 6 people), but no children’s club at this hotel.

Room Types

The hotel has 229 suites and open suites. The main difference is the layout: a Suite has a separate bedroom, while an Open Suite combines the sleeping and living areas. NB: There are 3 internal steps between the living and sleeping space in the majority of room types.

Suite: A separate bedroom and living area, with a balcony or terrace. Size 39m². A practical choice if you prefer more privacy between the two areas.

Interconnecting Suite: Two suites with a terrace and a connecting door in between them. Size 78m².

Adapted Open Suite: An open-plan suite on the ground floor with adapted bathroom. Size 39m².

Open Suite: An open-plan sleeping and living space with a balcony. Size 39m². Pool view / sea view.

Open Suite Select: An adults-only open suite with sea view and Select services. Size 39m².

Select Superior: More spacious adults-only accommodation with sea view and Select services. Size 54m².

Presidential Suite: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living and dining space, plus a large terrace overlooking the Atlantic and Playa Grande. Size 95m². Includes adults-only Select services.

Royal Suite: Two bedrooms, spacious living areas, a private Jacuzzi and direct sea views. Size 124m². Includes adults-only Select services.

Suite facilities include air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi, safe, bathrobe and slippers, hairdryer, kettle, fridge and microwave. Bathrooms have a shower.

Restaurants & Bars

The hotel offers bed & breakfast or half board accommodation, with breakfast and the evening meal included on half board.

La Tunera is the buffet restaurant, serving local and international dishes with show cooking.

Marea Pool & Lounge Bar is beside the pool for drinks and snacks during the day.

La Geria Lobby Bar provides an indoor setting for a drink and a break from the sunshine.

Bed & breakfast would be our suggestion if you enjoy trying different restaurants during your holiday. With such a central location, there’s plenty of choice nearby. Half board is worth considering if you prefer the convenience of returning to the hotel for dinner.

Facilities

There are three outdoor freshwater pools, including a children’s pool, with complimentary pool towels. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Direct beach access makes it easy to divide your day between the pool terrace and the sand. Situated on the flat at the end of the main strip, there are no hills to negotiate. The old harbour is approximately 900m away, while there is a transfer time to the resort of 20 minutes.

There’s a gym for guests who like to keep active, and Zenith Wellness on the top floor offers massages and treatments, with advance booking recommended.

Select Service

Select is the hotel’s adults-only upgrade, combining additional room comforts with access to reserved areas.

Benefits include à la carte breakfast in a dedicated area, the Select Lounge and the Select Solarium on the top floor, overlooking the Atlantic.

If you’re planning a special occasion or simply want a quieter space to relax, we would suggest comparing a Select room with the standard suites when requesting your quote.

Who would we recommend it for?

We would suggest the Plus Fariones Suite Hotel for anyone who wants a beach holiday with Puerto del Carmen on the doorstep. The combination of direct beach access and a central location means you can enjoy plenty of variety without needing a car.

For families, the separate-bedroom suites are worth considering, particularly if you prefer some living space away from the bedroom. Couples have the choice of the main hotel accommodation or the adults-only Select categories.

The key decision is which suite suits your holiday best: a separate bedroom or an open layout, your preferred view, and whether you would make use of the Select extras.

Our Experience

We stayed for a short break in September 2024. Our room was an open suite high floor and we were allocated 418, this had a great view of both the pool and the beach. We prefer the open plan layout, it’s light, airy and maximises the space. The air conditioning was excellent which is an important feature for us. The bathroom was very spacious, it does have a obscured glass door but the toilet and shower were both private from the rest of the room. The kitchenette has a sink, kettle, microwave and a fridge but only cups and glasses for crockery. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The TV had a choice of UK channels available and no complaints with the WiFi coverage. We found plenty of sun bed availability, and enjoyed the ambiance at the pool bar. The glass boundary allows guests to see the beach from their sun beds but not so private from pedestrians walking along that section of the promenade. Our board was bed & breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised at the wide range of food choices available. We didn’t experience the evening dining service during our stay. The Plus Fariones Suite Hotel is a quiet hotel, a little oasis in the centre of the resort. If you want lively evenings there’s plenty of establishments nearby. The grounds are beautifully planted and immaculate.
