I was absolutely fascinated by the valley of Guayadeque. Guayadeque is a ravine or barranco as they’re called in Spanish, situated between the towns of Agüimes and Ingenio. What’s special about this particular place is the variety of cave dwellings along the route, which have been transformed into houses and restaurants. Agüimes is a beautiful traditional example of a municipal town in the Canary Islands, and only a short drive from Gran Canaria’s airport.
