The Radisson Blu Resort Lanzarote opened on the 19th December 2022, previously known as the Hotel Coronas Playa in Costa Teguise. This is the third Radisson Blu hotel in the Canary Islands, the other two are based in Gran Canaria. Official rating 4*.
Since opening this hotel has changed to adults only from 16+ years upwards.

Previous guests would be forgiven for not recognising the reception area which has been opened up into a light and airy space with a wonderful ocean view. Not everything has changed though, approx 90% of the previous staff have returned to work. The modern interior design was inspired by Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape which has been combined with natural elements to give a warm look to the lobby and restaurants.
Accommodation is available with bed & breakfast or half board. Guests who book half board will use Tremor, for breakfast and dinner buffet restaurant. Half board guests are currently permitted to exchange dinner service for a lunch at Calma if preferred.
The Radisson Blu Resort Lanzarote is committed to the Radisson Hotel Group’s Net Zero strategy. Solar panels and a geothermal plant will produce the energy required to heat water, operate the air conditioning and heat the freshwater swimming pools. A zero plastic policy is also in place. Late check out is charged at €20 per hour and subject to availability.
Playa Bastián beach is a short stroll away along the promenade. Pueblo Marinero is 1.2km walk into the centre of Costa Teguise.
Room Types
The Radisson Blu Resort in Lanzarote has 225 rooms, the majority of which are junior suites. Plus, all rooms are pet friendly, 9 adapted suites (junior suite sea view), 2 presidential suites and 10 swim up suites. Additionally there are 7 Suites ocean front, 2 Suites partial sea view and 3 Suites.
We visited a junior suite sea view on our initial tour of the hotel when it opened and were impressed with the comfort and design of the room. There’s lots of storage space, including a cupboard to hide your suitcases. The toilet and walk in shower are separate and private with obscured glass doors from the sink area and dressing room. You can see through the slats above the sink to the main area which lets in some natural light to the bathroom. Whilst the bed looked very comfortable, the sofa screams out for you to sink into the plethora of cushions. The muted colours of the wood, grey and beige furnishing is very relaxing and interior design has been well thought out. Even the standard junior suites have 2 sun loungers provided on the balcony and the glass frontage allows you to enjoy the view at any position.

On a return visit to this hotel in July 2025 we also visited a suite oceanfront sea view room, and a suite swim up room.
The suite oceanfront sea view rooms are situated right on the promenade front of the hotel, with a long rectangular shaped terrace. This room type also has a free standing bath with shower over, as well as a walk in shower.

The suite swim up rooms are very spacious inside and included some different seating options, however it wasn’t as inviting as the L shaped sofa found in the junior suites in my opinion. The swim up pool was shaded during our late morning visit but should benefit from afternoon sunshine later in the day.

Junior Suite Standard: 38m2 with 1 king or 2 queen beds. Maximum occupancy 3 adults. Mainly situated on the top level of the hotel, close to all amenities, on 4 floors with views of the main swimming pool. A small selection of standard junior suites are also available on the lower level.
