We were invited by Visit California to “Let It Snow, California Style” this morning.

They sent us a choice of 4 snowflakes to create. We picked the Desert to Dunes version featuring palm trees. It was simple to do and very effective.

We thought you might like something fun to do with your kids and grandchildren this Christmas. To create your own versions of these snowflakes, simply choose which version you want from below.

How to make your snowflake

Print off the PDF document.

Cut around the perimeter as shown, then fold down until you have just the section left with the grey area.

Cut out the grey, then unfold carefully to reveal your snowflake.

You can simply use white printer paper, or jazz it up to personalise.

Decorate by colouring it in / adding glitter to finish.

Thread a piece of cotton on to it hang up.

You can share your snowflakes by taking a photo and uploading to social media with the hashtag #CALove
