Easyjet has announced changes to their luggage policies which took effect on 15th November 2017. Note that if you have an existing booking made before that date, with luggage, your 20KG allowance is not affected.
Under the new rules, each passenger, including children and infants, can purchase up to three hold bags at the following weights:
- 15KG bag – ideal for short breaks
- 23KG bag – the new standard size for holidays of a week or more
- Up to 32KG – for long breaks. Customers purchase a 23KG bag and can then buy extra weight in 3KG increments
Each case has a maximum size of 275CM, which is the sum of width+length+height.
We checked prices – as an example, on a return flight from London Gatwick to Lanzarote:
- 15KG bag is €55.23
- 23KG bag is £60.78
